http://trendshare.org/how-to-invest/
To get some basic concepts and terminology about investing.  This site also research a stock and lets you know what the fair market value of a share might be, something most sites won't tell you.  This site only works with US stocks only though.

This site lets you see how the market is doing by sector using a birds eye temperature map, which I think is pretty cool.  There are different maps for the US and Canadian markets.  You can even play with the sliders at the bottom of the chart to see which stocks are hot or not during a particular interval.

The Nasdaq site lets you track unusual volumes (how much a stock is traded that day).  US stocks only.
